Washington: Canadian pop star Avril Lavigne has criticised the paparazzi for the way they keep hounding the troubled pop princess Britney Spears.

Lavigne claimed that she herself had problems with the press coverage, but it was nothing compared to the way Britney has been treated by the media.

"No one else has it as hard as Britney. I feel bad for her,” said Avril in an interview in Maxim magazine.

Lately, several women celebrities seem to have become sensitive about Britney's condition.

Supermodel Heidi Klum has reportedly invited Britney to come and live with her for a few months. Klum lives with her three kids and husband Seal at Beverly Hills, California. 

The Associted Press has quoted Klum saying Britney can call her and live with her family for a couple of months. "I would help set her straight," she said.
