Mumbai: Mahjong presents its Thai food festival, which will continue till March 31.
The Thai cuisine menu will be made available at both, lunch and dinner times.
A proper Thai meal should consist of a soup, a curry dish with condiments, a dip with accompanying fish and vegetables.
A spiced salad may replace the curry dish. The soup can also be spicy, but the curry should be replaced by a non-spiced item.
There must be harmony of tastes and textures within individual dishes and the entire meal.
Popular dishes that will be part of the menu include:
Kaeng Musuman - A rich chicken curry with peanuts. Not too spicy and often served at wedding parties.
Kaeng Kari - A mild flavoured Indian type curry made with potatoes and chicken.
Kaeng Jut - A mild flavored soup made of vegetables, tofu, shrimp, chicken.
Dok Kalam Phat Mu - Fried chicken with cauliflower.
The meal is then followed by sweet desserts and / or fresh fruits such as mangoes, jackfruit, papaya, grapes or melon.
