'Go Eco-Friendly' say Ekta and Ruchi

Mumbai: Fashion designers Ekta Jaipura and Ruchi Khandari presented the Spring-Summer collection of their brand Ekru on fourth day of the Lakme Fashion Week 2008.
Their label EKRU Bio's 'Sapling' was a collection that encouraged everyone to wear organic, yet chic clothes.
The collection was inspired from "Mother Earth in her purest form," say the designers.
Reflecting this spirit were elements of nature like flowers and leaf motifs.
The silhouettes were western and very feminine. Baby doll dresses with puffed up sleeves and empire cuts were the highlights of the collection.
The colour palatte featured earthy shades, especially green and hues of white. The prime fabric used for the colection was organic cotton.
