Mumbai: The Lakme Fashion Week ramp was turned into the red carpet as models walked wearing gowns by Shane and Falguni Peacock.

This has by far the most colourful colour palette including colours ranging from beige and nude to cherry red, ink blue, canary yellow and peacock blue.

Innovative use of Swarovski crystals added shine to the entire collection. They were arranged in brooches that held the flared end of the fabric in neat pleats. Cowl neck line was used at the back of the gown with crystal brooches.

An interesting experiment by Shane and Falguni used chains as loose straps falling behind the back. They used flowing fabrics like chiffon and satin that also gave a good fit.

The overall look created by the collection was nude, subtly glamorous with natural make-up. The hair were worn with messy look, but the Jimmy Choo accessories enhanced the look to tres chic.  

For Shane and Falguni, their clothes were the only show-stoppers. And they were enough.
