London: More and more British companies are outsourcing their accountancy services to India. The Indian BPO industry has never had it better.
While business is pouring in from IT firms abroad, the BPOs are also managing the accounting needs of several major clients.
"We see companies in many, many countries looking forward to improve their efficiency in back office services and accountancy services. I think India has positioned itself extremely well in that context," said Graham Ward, President, International Federation of Accountants.
Accountancy firms in the UK are encouraged to outsource, as Indian outsourcing firms are cheaper to hire by up to 65 per cent. The results speaks for itself.
"At the moment the firm we are dealing with in India have already got 25 firms from UK working with them and outsourcing," said Rajni Patel, Silver Levene Chartered Accountants.
But experts say there is still a long way to go. India has great potential in this field, as it has a large English-speaking workforce, and excellent communication networks.
Numbers and Indians go together, and now in the world of accountancy outsourcing to India they are growing and multiplying.
Hope they could grow more and multiply faster.
