Mumbai: A couple of years back Bollywood films ended in holy matrimony but now most films begin after the knot is tied. CNN-IBN spoke to the on screen couples of filmmaker Meghana Gulzar's movie Just Married and there were some who have recently tied the knot.
"I go to the gym and people ask me how has it been so far and I say great and they say it’s just been a month, give her three. They are so pessimistic," actor Perizaad Zorabian says.
And then there are those who have been married for 20 years and still love every moment of it. In fact some moments in the film mirror their own marital lives.
"The snoring bit is true. My husband is a gentle snorer and he sleeps at an angle so when he sleeps I move him slightly," says actor Kiron Kher.
So, do the actors of Just Married recommend marriage to those single souls out there?
"You got to be ready for it, if you're doing it for all the right reasons," a seemingly enlightened Fardeen Khan says.
And the only unmarried actor of the film’s cast goes by her parents’ experience. "My parents are unconventional as a couple. They so love each other and it makes me want to see every couple like that," actor Esha Deol says.
But having lived the character both on and off screen, can they distinguish between a married and an unmarried couple?
Kiron Kher: If you are at a restaurant and you see a couple just eating and not talking then they are married.
Perizaad Zorabian: You notice the one-year marriage, the five-year marriage and the 40-year marriage.
Esha Deol: You never know when someone's having an affair.
