London: Music is the food for now but now it can help you recover a stroke.
According to a new study published in the latest issue of the journal Brain Today, patients listening up to two hours of music daily had a more positive outlook than those who did not.
The study was based on a research where 60 stroke patients for a span of two years were made to listen to different types of music everyday.
The researchers found that within three months post-stroke their verbal memory improved by 60% than non-listeners.
The patients listening to music regularly were less depressed or confused.
