New Delhi: There is good news for those who play guitar and even those who don’t.

The Air Guitar Pro is the latest toy that uses the infrared motion sensors and belts out classic hits like Deep Purple's Smoke on the Water.

It connects to iPods or exterior speakers and is priced at $22. It is up for grabs at the Tokyo International Toy Show that winds up on Sunday.

Says demonstrator, air guitar pro, Keishi Abe, "Anybody can play electric guitar and feel like a rock star with this toy. It is child's play really."

Air guttering or even pretending to strum an imaginary instrument has become a national rage in Japan. A Japanese even won the World Air Guitar Championships in Finland last year.

The air guitar may look like anything but guitars but one has to strap them on to play it and discover the magic one self.

"Put it on, turn the power on. Shake your arm once to play one riff. For the whole song, just keep moving your arm. Even children can play like professional guitarists with this," says demonstrator, air musician, Nana Kaneko
