New Delhi: Fashion designer Shantanu Goenka presented his collection called 'Miss Doolittle' on Day 2 of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week.

The theme of the show was 'My Fair Lady' and was inspired by its character Elisa Doolittle. The colour palette included warm shades such as foilage green, sunset orange, puple, mohagany and carmen pink.

The collection was a fusion of western and Indian cuts. The show began with skirts, trousers, cardigans and jackets ands moved on to sarees in quilt and knit.

Skirts and dresses had ballon hemlines and smocks were worn under pinafores and knit cholis. All the dresses had splashes of 3-D flowers and butterfly applique.

Elisa's trademark rose motif appeared on several outfits in print and embroidered form.

With the soundtrack of the movie 'My Fair Lady' playing in the background, Shantanu Goenka tranformed a fashion show into a Broadway musical.
