The Tampon Brigade
Those who belong here also admit turning to tampons due to the demerits of sanitary napkins, discomfort and wet feeling top the chart.
Tampons Are Comfortable
Bhanu Parameswaran has been using tampons for more than six years now. Bhanu says, "Tampons are neat and clean. They are really comfortable. I have never been comfortable using a sanitary pad. They feel like a hindrance."
Tampons Do Not Show
Using tampons comes handy if you are fashion conscious. Vanshika Mehta says, "I have been using tampons just because they do not show when I wear trousers and such clothes. I am also confident that it will not leak easily just like sanitary pads."
Since tampon is inside, it soaks the discharge right there. The chance of leakage is far less as compared to sanitary pad.
Tampons Are Easier To Use
For Martha Sakpal, who recommends tampons, tampons are always the easier option. "Tampons are really small and you can carry them in your little mobile bag. There is only one position to put them, unlike sanitary pads. Pads, if not used properly, may leave stains and lead to wetness and discomfort," she says.
The Pad-using Gang
For those used to using pads, it is a tried-and-tested option and therefore safe. Tampons need insertion inside the body, which makes these women question it's safety.
You Never Forget To Change A Pad
"Tampons are to be inserted inside your vagina and you may not feel them as much as you can feel a sanitary pad. I am absent minded and scared that I may simply forget to remove them and may end up with an infection", says Gayatri Parameswaran.
