But don’t fret. You need not cancel that lunch with your friends if you can’t make it to the parlour. You can do your touch ups at home in that emergency.
Here are five quick, easy ways to touch up those greys, all in 10 minutes!
1. Hair Mascara
Hair mascara is available in a variety of colours in many brands. You can buy a stick for as cheap as Rs.70 to as expensive as Rs.350.
Applying hair mascara is real easy. Simply apply it on those grey strands and they will disappear.
If you don’t have a stick of hair mascara handy, then use your eyelash mascara. But use this only if your hair colour is pitch black.
2. Hair Colour Sticks
You can buy hair colour sticks at your local beauty store. The Shenaz Hussain varieties are for Rs.135 and are available in brown and black.
Hair colour sticks are real easy to apply too. Just part your hair and vigorously apply the stick on your roots. And voila! You can kiss those greys goodbye.
3.The Eye Shadow Trick
Spray a little hairspray on your roots. Then quickly apply a shade of eye shadow that matches your hair colour.
This is quick and since you get eye shadows in loads of colours, you will definitely find something that you can use.
Eye Shadows are available everywhere and for as low as Rs. 50.

4.Coloured Hair Spray
It’s not difficult to find hair sprays in every colour imaginable. But, spray with caution. Part your hair into thick sections and place a piece of paper below the section you colour. Remember to spray it on very lightly.
If you apply too much, then you will have the colour running down your forehead.
You may have to search a little for coloured hair spray. A can starts from Rs. 75.
5.Kajal
Kajal (kohl) pencils are a great option and most women always have one handy. So just take out your kajal stick and pencil your roots with them.
If you need a brown shade to cover up your greys, then use an eye or lip pencil instead. These work as well as kajals do.
Kajals are available for as cheap as Rs.15 at your local market.
Remember, these touch up tricks are only temporary.
So don’t rely on them if you are going somewhere where you are bound to sweat or get wet; else, the colour will run down your face. So long as you keep your locks dry, you will be fine.
