8 Ways to Jumpstart Your Monday

The lazy Sunday afternoon is almost over and before you know it, those Monday blues are kicking in. The very thought of the daily travel, work and the boss drive you up the wall.
Oh, how you wish you could skip this day of the week altogether.
Well, you can't. But, you could make Mondays a little less drab.
Here are a few tips to jumpstart that horrible day of the week.
- Wake up a little early and spend some leisure time, even if it is just enjoying a cup of tea and reading the newspaper. A hurried morning leaves you with a hassled day.
Sure, this is easier said than done. Waking up on time is the most difficult thing to do. But you could set your watch about an hour early and trick yourself into getting up. You could also select the most annoying ringtone as your alarm tone and keep the cell phone away, so you have to get up and fetch it. - Plan your outfit in advance and look your best come Monday morning. The compliments will definitely make you feel good. And even if there aren't any, (because everyone is having a manic Monday) you are sure to feel great just looking at yourself!
- Block out the noisy crowd on your way to work with a little music. Make sure you pack your mobile phone or mp3 player with peppy music that will enliven your morning and keep you grooving all day long. You could also read something funny or thought provoking.
- Your phone will be constantly buzzing on a Friday evening and friends will call to tempt you with the best of plans. Yes, you will want to run out of the office, very often, leaving work halfway through. But remember, Monday brings with it a whole new To Do list and pending work will only add to those Monday morning blues.
- The best way to ensure a great Monday, is to have a super Sunday. Go out and have loads of fun or sleep in, so you will be well-rested and stress-free to take on the coming week!
- If you have any particular hobby, keep it for Monday. Music, dance, swimming or whatever it is that you enjoy doing, make sure you do it on Monday. It will give you something to look forward to.
- Friday night is the only time to make plans. Set up a lunch or coffee date with that special someone on a Monday. It will definitely add some spice to your day.
- Watch a romantic comedy, comedy or any other feel good film on Sunday night. It will leave you feeling optimistic about life.
