To check the quality of mehendi powder, soak it in water for sometime.
If water turns maroon then it is a good color, if not, the mehendi is of poor quality.
Once you make sure the quality, soak the mehendi for 3-4 hours in water enough to form a thick paste. You can add eucalyptus oil and clove oil for better colour.

Although readymade cones are available in the market, you can also create a cone like a pro in minutes.
- Take plastic paper
- Cut it into a square
- Fold cone into a triangular funnel-shape, with extremely narrow bottom to be able to draw a fine line of mehendi.
- Seal it with a cello tape
- Pour mehendi inside from the top
Make your Mehendi last!
- Apply a mixture of lemon juice and sugar after application
- Before removing mehendi, heat cloves in a dry pan and hold your hands over the vapours.
- Apply any pain balm with camphor content over your mehendi once it has dried up.
- You can also dab a cotton dipped in cooking oil.
- Leave the mehendi on at least for 3-4 hours. Leaving it overnight is a good idea.
